Improve the Appearance and Discomfort of Varicose and Spider Veins Today
Varicose and spider veins are damaged veins. They develop them when tiny, one-way valves inside the veins weaken. In healthy veins, these valves push blood in one direction — back to our heart. When these valves weaken, some blood flows backward and accumulates in the vein. Extra blood in the vein puts pressure on the walls of the vein.
With continual pressure, the vein walls weaken and bulge. In time, we see a varicose or spider vein.
Treatment can improve appearance and help to eliminate discomfort such as pain and fatigue.
Sciton ClearV
Small, dilated veins known as “telangiectasias” occur as a result of photoaging and genetics. These veins occur most commonly on the face of both men and women. The ClearV treatment eliminates target vessels without damaging the skin. It does so by applying targeted heat to clear away broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, skin discoloration, and more.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a safe, proven, and effective non-surgical treatment for veins of all sizes (both spider veins and varicose veins) that can be performed in the pure.dermatology office.
A tiny needle is used to introduce a sclerosing solution into the target vein in order to shut it down. The sclerosing agent may be a saline solution or mild detergent.
These solutions do two things. First, they displace the blood in the vein causing the vein to immediately fade or appear lighter in color. Second, the solution irritates the vein lining causing the vein walls to adhere together, preventing the vein from filling with blood again.
The blood is then redirected to healthier veins and generally circulation improves. Typically, a few weeks after treatment, the treated vein is absorbed by the body and disappears.
