I truly believe everything happens for a reason. However, try telling that to my 14 year-old-self, in high school, with a face covered in acne. Since then, that life changing acne experience has lead me down a road I will never be ungrateful for traveling. Not only did I take a course of Accutane and clear up my acne, but my Dermatologist became my friend and mentor. It is because of that experience I became a NP-C in the field of Dermatology. Now, I get to help other people walking in the same shoes I was once in.
